54:04 minutes!!!!!
I met Harry Truman when I was 13 years old. Who would have could have known he would be gone 5 years later. Rest in Peace Harry. I still miss you my old friend.
Music by Goblin. ❤
**SPOILER** The friggin' volcano doesn't erupt until the movie is almost over.
Too much cussing for me out of here
Rest in eternal peace all those souls who lost their lives when Mount St Helens erupted, Harry and David got a front row seat ❤

I watched the whole thing, one of the most amazing documentaries in history. Thank you 🙏
More of man than the entire band of Black Veil Brides
What happens is what always happens for billions of years. Life just starts over again.
he sentenced himself and those cats to die.terrible choice.for some reason he wouldnt go to the lower 48.running from someone or something.he couldve always went back.cruelty to animals!!
Im so glad the full movie is on UA-cam!
I was on top of Mt Cashmere with my Boy Scout troop in Wenatchee when it blew! I’ll never forget that sound! Sounded like the whole sky was cracking.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:7
Went there in 2014 and the growth was amazing. After 10 years I bet it's even more beautiful.. Nature can't be stopped! They have sections marked by the years as to when they started planting trees...
Your chickens came home to roost that day and you learned nothing.
Never take ANY volcano for granted, even "extinct" ones. Many still have active magma chambers & conduits deep beneath them.
U tube. Finally kick ass movie. Shit
Lol this film is truly absurd. Its fine, but not at all accurate, and the budget?? Dont be silly.
I was in Colorado when the mountain erupted and a few days later I came out early in the morning to go to work and every car in the neighborhood had a thick layer of ash all over it. It had blown in all those miles.
I lived on the east coast, so this eruption didn't affect me and my life. I remember seeing some films on TV though, and my heart hurt for the towns and people lost in the moment and days and weeks following from the fall-out. 😢
Am I wrong or is this movie hyping the weirdos?😂
2:00 2:01 2:03 2:05 2:07
No. You just GTFO if you think something is wrong that's it.
Goblin, who did the music, is the Mac Daddy Shizzy Nit. Love them on the movie Suspiria too:)
I'll never forget when Saint Helens erupted I lived in Southern California and I sucked ashes for a week
Tress don't make those noise when they fall. A muffled crunchy thud sure, but definitely not a scraping thunderclap. Or maybe the audio recording technology back then was just that bad 🤣😁😂
I watch and read all that happened that day it’s 4/24 I still cannot wrap my mind around this. These men and many others hero’s beyond words. I wonder how do you go on after suffering such a horrible, horrible loss. I know this we can never forget what happened that day. May they all R.I.P
I remember that explosion.i was only six, there was so much ash in the dalles,I thought it was snowing
1st I own this movie i enjoy it every time i watch it. The only problem is why did the writers give David Johnston, the last name of Jackson??.
Roger Donaldson"s Dante's Peak is more or less a remake of this movie.
Did they ever find his body?
56:43 bruh 😂 gets me everytime
@1:14 Dude with the glasses just stepped off the set of “They Live” 😂
I WOULD HAVE NEVER RISKED MY LIFE SAVING OTHERS!!! PEOPLE ARE NOT WORTH SAVING!
If my memory is correct there was like at least three feet of ash in Yakima. The news was showing people driving through the ash and it wrecked a few cars. Was in Jr High the day the Mountain blew.and day turned to midnight. That ash cloud was thin where I lived but it still blacked out the sky.A friend of my Moms husband was one of the people to have some of the best video of the mountain. Was a pilot and was flying around that mountain for months.People from the one horse town I lived in felt bad for Truman. He lived right below that slide. When the mountain slid down into the lake every one knew he was instantly gone. The whole town let out a collective Awwww!
The absolute worst they could throw at us.. brought out the best in us.

I remember when this happened and everyone was patriotic the American flag was everywhere ppl singing the anthem this country has changed so much since then and not for the best
Policy or not, my butt would have immediately tried to find a way out. I’m amazed how many heroes passed that day helping their fellow man 😢🙏🏼♥️
RIP Harry, I am 67 and live on the beach in the Tropics, prone to Tsanmis, and will stand my ground if one was to take me out during a Typoon!
Nicely done!
_"I was on the mountain that morning. 15 minutes before it blew I had a premonition and got the hell out! Coming across 8 people, I carried them 'piggy back style', saving their lives."_ *-Joe Biden*
I was in school at U of O in Eugene right after this happened, I knew many kids on campus living in the area....it was very devastating.
He was just a stubborn grumpy old man that got what he wanted plain and simple
He was a crimudgen, and came across as itritable an irritating to interact with,,,
Jeff is a true hero as well. He knew he could get down those stairs to safety, but he instead put his needs aside in a complete act of selflessness. I wholeheartedly believe that Jeff would've died in those stairs helping Judith if those firemen didn't force him to run to safety. He wasn't gonna leave her side and that right there is a true act of selflessness. Jeff sir, you are a true angel. I hope he knows that he made those last moments of Judith's life a little easier on her by comforting and assisting her through literal hell. Man, that makes me tear up...
1.27 the comedy started😅
